The Homestead, Old Town Alexandria, & Washington D.C.

Here are tons of pics from our trip to Virginia this summer. Shawn's work did a conference @ The Homestead in Hot Springs, VA. It was absolutely gorgeous! We had a blast hanging at the pool with friends, horseback riding, hiking at a nearby waterfall, "bathing" in the warm springs that Thomas Jefferson frequented back in the day, afternoon teatime, and fancy dinners. The best part about the conference was that Shawn won an ipad for his awesome presentation!

From there, we went on to meet up with my parents in D.C. who were on their way back from NY. We checked out Alexandria and ate at the yummy Gadsby's Tavern. We had fun riding the metro everywhere and visiting the zoo, museums, and monuments.  It was such a great time!
